Menue: dilettantin produktionsbüro
With the generous support of the INSTITUT FRANCAIS
A performative production process of sculptures reflecting notions of virtuosity vs. uselessness.
In a process over several weeks, starting at the opening Oct. 12th, I produced tableware with Plasticine during the opening hours of the gallery - sensitive vessels for beverages and dishes, which can be deformed with every touch and are never fully hardened. They were brought into ritual use on evening Nov. 8th 2012 at the Fatality Dinner Performance. The dilettantin produktionsbüro created a meal especially for this dinner set. The courses had been served to the 10 evening's
guests, which subscribed for the dinner.
After the dinner the dishes remained on the table until the end of
the exhibition.
