The purpose of this work is to paint an old painting from a different angle again; to examine the legality of the flat picture with an elaborate experiment. I created an exact wax replica, featuring all of the pain- ting's figures and layout with the aid of a focusing camera and templates. Then I selected a different visual angle on the model with the camera turned approximately 45° around the group of figures. Initially I drew the new picture created by the changed view point. Drawings of heads, hands, clothing and other details emerged. To the viewer of this scenery, the new painting appears as if he moved around the group of figures a little.
